One of my favourite native Hong Kong trees is the Lance-leaved Sterculia (sterculia lanceolata), which is quite common around hills and curbsides around the city.
While the specie is better known for its bright, florescent orange fruits, its delicate flowers are also noteworthy, albeit much more discreet. The trees are just coming into bloom now around the city. Enjoy.
