Welcome! Here, we strive to celebrate the trees that accompany us during our brief journey on this here Earth. They live beside our homes, streets and cities. They provide us with scenery, they give us air to breathe, they calm our nerves, lower our blood pressure, teach us about harmony and humility and show us an expression of eternity.

Everywhere I go, every city I visit, I look out for trees. From the massive Chinese Banyans that line Garden Road in Hong Kong’s bustling Central district, to the Gingko trees and Japanese pines that line the streets of Tokyo, trees are constantly part of our lives. But they are often neglected, ignored and overlooked.
I hope to change that with this site, where tree appreciation takes centre stage, where trees get their well deserved place as an integral part of urban lives and living environments. Join us and celebrate the nurturing energy, mystic embrace and awesome vitality that trees of all kinds bring to human lives.
Urban trees of the World is all about giving our arboreal companions the respect and appreciation they deserved. They were here long before us, and they will likely be here long after we are gone. This site is dedicated to the appreciation of their beauty, their majesty, their spirituality, their mysticism and how all those qualities impact the cities we live in and our lives.
As part of our journey into the world of trees, we also strived to educate ourselves about trees, about the different kinds of trees, their individuality, their personality and their identity. We will share this information as much as we can as well as where you can find them and see them for in person.
I love trees and taking photos of them has become a passion. While I fully appreciate and endorse anyone who wants to share my posts and even photos online for social purposes, I’d like to remind visitors that all photos on this site are original (unless otherwise attributed) and are copyrighted.
