Old and valuable tree of Hong Kong AFCD QB/002: Chinese Banyan

An ‘Old and valuable’ tree of Hong Kong. This Chinese Banyan (ficus microcarpa 細葉榕) is located at the entrance of a biodiversity centre on Mount Parker Road up the hill from Quarry Bay.

Typical of Hong Kong’s Chinese Banyans, this specimen features numerous aerial roots besides a core trunk supporting a wide crown.
