Bright silver beads in Central

It’s May and this obvious relative of the Yellow Poinciana (peltophorum pterocarpun) with only a scientific name of peltophorum tonkinense is blooming with their bright, cheery yellow flowers. It’s Chinese name, 銀珠,means silver bead.

This row of blooming specimens are found lining the north side of Statue Square in Central.
