Another Golden Shower tree, this time in a playground

  • Specie: Golden Shower (cassia fistula)
  • Location: Caine Road Garden, corner of Seymour Road

I have been quite enthralled with the beautiful Golden Shower trees (cassia fistula) since they started to bloom in the past month or so. I mean how can you not?

Their flowers are stunningly delicate, not only resembling droplets of yellow beads, but also come in a cascade, flowing down from above.

This particular individual is located inside Caine Road Garden on the corner of Caine and Seymour. It stands in the corner next to the children’s playground.

The tree looks a bit raggedy, but the very few (literally a handful) of this species are often like that. Perhaps that is the price of having such beautiful flowers.
