Literally days after I posted about the emergence of young leaves from the Spider Tree (creteva unilocularis) in Spring, I came across other individuals already in full glorious bloom.

Few species in Hong Kong’s urbanscape offer such a grand spectacle as the Spider, which bursts forth with hundreds of delicate white and yellow flowers. The sheer immensity of the floral display can take anyone’s breath away.

Unfortunately, the flowering season is quite short so they are easy to miss. Enjoy them while they last!
