Photo of the day: Taiwan Acacia

A very common street tree in Hong Kong is the Taiwan Acacia (acacia confusa), The specie has long inclined trunks tha spread out horizontally and flowing branches with needle-like leaves.

This time of year, tiny yellow blossom explode out from the foliage like pigments on a canvas. The flowers are difficult to spot on the typically tall trees. But if you are lucky, there’ll be some within reach for a closer look, like this one. Enjoy.
